Energy Pyramid

We have spent almost two weeks learning about food chains, food webs, and the energy pyramid.  Using your knowledge of these concepts, please submit a comment answering one of the following questions.

1)  Imagine you are a part of a real energy pyramid.  Which “job” would you want to have?  Please explain why.  In your explanation of why, include one specific piece of evidence relating to the importance of your “job”, one piece of evidence relating to the transfer of energy, and one specific piece of evidence that is an admission of a negative for your “job”.

2) In your opinion, which level of the energy pyramid is the most important. Please explain why. In your explanation of why, please include specific pieces of evidence for how it relates to the transfer of energy.

OR

3)  In your opinion, what is the most important thing you have learned about the energy pyramid?  Please explain why.  In your explanation of why, please include specific evidence demonstrating your understanding of the energy pyramid.

Your response will be graded using the following criteria:

1. Mechanics:  Your comment should use a short constructed response format. It should be written in complete sentences with very few spelling, punctuation, or capitalization errors.
2. Audience:  Your writing is clear and explains ideas so readers outside of our classroom understand them.
3. Content:  The content is accurate and shows the writer understands the science concepts presented.
