I think that the sun was the most important role in the energy pyramid. This is the most important role in my opinion because it is the start of the energy. It gives the energy to the producers, which give the herbivores energy and then the carnivores get energy because they eat the herbivores. So really the sun gives the energy to everybody. It travels to all the animals and plants and ends up cycling around again and again forever.

The most important thing I have learned about the food pyramid is that there have to be more producers than herbivores and more herbivores than carnivores. If there was no more sun than the plants would die and the herbivores eat the plants so now they are dieing and the carnivores don’t have any food so the scavengers are left to eat everything. If the carnivores die then the area will overpopulate with herbivores.
The most important part in the Energy Pyramid "job" in my opinion is the sun. The sun is the most important for the one transferring energy to plants. Plants are the second most helpful in my opinion becouse herbivores eat plants. While carnivores eat herbivores. Without the sun all animals would just die out. I hope you look at my statements and at least say it is second in the energy pyramid.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the sun is the most important part of the Energy Pyramid. I think that because it keeps the plants growing and the plants feed energy to the herbivores which feed energy to the carnivores which feeds energy to the omnivores and/or scavengers. So the sun is the most important because if it wouldn’t feed anything with energy then there would be nothing to feed us. Pretty much our ecosystem lives because of the sun.

I think that the most important level of energy is, the sun (first level), because the sun starts the whole cycle, without the sun the plants would not get energy so they would die off, then the herbivores would have nothing to eat and they would die off, and then the carnivores would die because they would have no food, and then the scavengers would die. Every time an animal can’t eat it can’t get energy and so it dies off after all of the animals of it’s species or level of energy can’t get energy it is no onger a level of energy. So I think the sun I most important so that we all don’t die off because it couldn’t give the plants energy.
ReplyDeleteI think the top predator is the most important one. Because they keep the other animals from over populating and stuff. It relates to the transfer of energy because when the other organisms over populate then, other populations would die out because there are too many predators.
ReplyDeleteThe level of the energy pyramid that I think is most important is the scavenger. I think that the scavenger is the most important because it eats the remaining part of a dead animal that already ate it but didn't finish it and the scavenger recycles it. It’s also important because if we on earth didn’t have scavengers then we would have dead animals and bodies laying all over our earth. For example, let’s say a raven is our scavenger. So the sun helps to grow the plant then the plant brings energy to the Zebra that eats the plant. Next, the Zebra brings energy to the Lion that eats the Zebra. Now, the lion has a feast because he got the whole Zebra and maybe that lion gets full and doesn’t want to finish the lion because he’s too full already. So, then that lion will leave the remaining parts of the Zebra and the scavenger will come along. In this case the scavenger is the raven. Then the raven will eat the remains of the animal and get the dead animal’s energy. That is why I think a scavenger is the most important level of the energy pyramid.
ReplyDeleteIf I was in a part of a real energy food pyramid, the ‘job’ I would want to have would be the herbivore. I would want to be the herbivore because they don’t wait to long to get food, but they also don’t have to work to much. Herbivores are always using the right amount of energy, and getting food when they need it. A herbivore eats plants that are primary producers. Herbivore’s eat the plants, and carnivores eat the herbivores. When the carnivores eat the herbivores, all of the energy that the herbivores haven’t used, ba

In my opinion the most important part of the food pyramid is the sun. I believe this because the sun gives life to every living thing. The sun Gives plants life so they can be eaten to give energy to herbivores and so on... Without the sun nothing could live and animals could not get vitamins. This relates to transfer of energy because the sun give the producer energy which is passed on to the carnivor. Than the energy is passed onto the carnivore and then the scavenger. Without the sun nothing could grow.

ReplyDeleteThe job I would choose is a carnivore. I would want to be a carnivore because I would feel the most important animal on the list. Also the carnivore controls if the lower animals over populate or not. Why I think this is because in the food web our class said “ if you take a fox out the rabbits will overpopulate and food supplies would run out.” See if a fox is taken out the rabbits overpopulate so that means the fox/carnivore controls the population of the lower animal.
The most important energy level in my opinion is the sun because if the sun was gone then everything would die off, not instantly but eventually. This is because the sun is the only thing giving energy to the producers, so if the sun went away then producers would to, and then herbivores (because they eat the producers) than carnivores (because they eat the herbivores) then vultures (because they eat anything that is dead and everything is by now) so they are good for a little but after nothing is left to eat they die off, and then everything is dead.

Dear Mrs. Blake
ReplyDeleteI think that the sun in the most important level in the energy pyramid because without the sun, there is no energy. Without energy the producers can’t produce, then the Herbivore won’t have any plants to eat. So then the herbivores will die out and then the carnivores won’t have anything to eat. Then they will die and the scavengers will have a hay day and overpopulate. But then I would be all about the scavengers, they will eat each other after all of the dead animals are decomposed. Then after that, there won’t be anything left but decomposers everywhere. That is why the sun is the most important level in the energy pyramid because it’s the one who produces the energy, but can also take it away.
Sincerely,
Brianna M.
In my opinion I think the sun is the most important part of the food pyramid. I think this because it is the part that starts the whole system. For example without the sun the plants couldn’t get energy and without the plants the herbivores couldn’t get energy and so on.
ReplyDeleteIf I were in a real food pyramid I would want the job of carnivore because eventually we are going to die, like any living thing would. But we would not be killed from an other animal, we, carnivores would die from old age or disease, depending on if you were the top predator or not. And all top predators are carnivores. I would all so help make sure that no other animals over populate. We do this by yes kill other animals, not necessarily to stop them from over populating, but because we need more energy from different animals. So I would want to be a carnivore.
ReplyDeleteThe most important job is the sun because if they didn’t count the beans right then that could change the whole food pyramid process.
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs. Blake,
ReplyDeleteThere are many different parts of the energy pyramid just like there are many different qualities of a person. All of the parts of the energy pyramid fit together perfect like a puzzle. They are all very important because without one you can't make the puzzle. However I think there is one piece of the puzzle that is most important, the sun. I think the sun is most important in the energy pyramid, because it is the start of pyramid. The base. And if you don't have a base you can't build up or continue. What I mean by that is without the sun the producers can't grow. Which means the herbivores will die out because there is no food. Then the carnivore will die because there are no herbivores and only the scavengers will be able to eat. And obviously that will not work out well at all. So that is why I think the sun is the most important part of the energy pyramid.
Sincerely,
Rose M.
I think the most important level of the food pyramid is the sun. I think this because the sun had to keep counting the whole time and didn’t get to stop. They were the ones that got all the “energy” down the chain and constantly progresses it forward. If they did stop, the chain would break because they get the beans to everybody and they start it off. In the real world, it relates to the transfer of energy by giving the producers the energy they need and eventually it will carry on to all the other animals. If the sun wasn’t there in the real world, all the producers wouldn’t get any energy and they would die off so they couldn’t provide food for the herbivore. Then that would die off and so on. Clearly, the sun was the most important part of the energy pyramid.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the sun has the most important part in the food pyramid because if there wasn’t a sun than the plants would die because they would not get enough energy to make their own food, so they would die. Then if the plants died, the herbivores would not get enough food to survive. So they wouldn’t get enough energy and soon die. Then the carnivores wouldn’t get enough food and energy to live, so they too would eventually die off and leave the scavengers with nothing to eat so they would then start to die of and the whole pyramid would be dead.

I thuoght that it was very interesting how much the human carictaristics played in to it. It was so natural for producers to compet to grow. And herbiviors competed for plants. But the scavengers just sat around.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a part of the energy pyramid I would be a carnivore. I would be a carnivore because they are some of the top predators. Top predators tend to have longer lifespan than other groups because top predators are at the top which means very few things can eat it. Which is important because top predators are what keep the food chain all in order. And to do that they need all the energy they can get which means it gets passed on to them but rarely gets passed on to another animal.

If I was part of a real food pyramid, I would want to have the “job” of a carnivore. Not only are carnivores usually the biggest and strongest animals in a food pyramid, they also are the luckiest. For instance, they don’t have to worry about any other animals eating them, and they can eat whenever and whatever they want. Also, carnivores are important to food pyramids because they keep the other organisms from overpopulating. For example, if the carnivores in an area die out, then the herbivores would overpopulate and there wouldn’t be enough producers for the herbivores to eat. In addition to that, carnivores don’t eat very often, which means they have to conserve energy and relax until they eat their next meal. The only negative thing about being a carnivore is that you have to do a lot of waiting. For instance, like I said before, carnivores only eat every once in awhile which means they have to wait for long periods of time and conserve energy. As you can see, if I was part of a real food pyramid, I would want to have the “job” of a carnivore.
ReplyDeleteIn science class, I am learning about the energy pyramid. There are certain jobs that each organism or thing does. In my opinion the organism with the most important job is the sun. I believe that the sun has the most important job because it starts the food chain so that all of the other organisms can eat and get the energy that they need, so that they can transfer that energy to other animals. I also think that the sun is the most important because it can keep going and never die or run out of energy so, again, it can keep the energy flowing through each animal. Finally, an example of the sun transferring energy to lots of animals is……………………………. sun-plant-herbivore-carnivore-scavenger.
ReplyDeleteI think that the sun is one of the most important things in a food pyramid because it’s the very start of the food pyramid and it gives off the energy needed to start the food chain. I also think the producers are very important because they are the only ones that can take the energy and make it into food. They also are the start of the organisms that begin the food chain. One more thing I think is important is the decomposers because they eat the dead organisms and put the remaining energy back in the ground.

ReplyDeleteI think the most important part of the energy pyramid is the sun. The sun starts the energy and gives it to the producers. Then the producers give the energy to the omnivores when the producers are eaten. Then the omnivores give the energy to the carnivores when eaten. The carnivores get eaten by the scavengers and the energy is transferred from the carnivore to the scavenger.

If I was in a real life Energy Pyramid I would want to be the scavenger. I would want to be the scavenger because I wouldn’t want to have to kill my prey. The importance of my job is to clean up after the secondary consumers. I won’t get much energy because every time the food passes down it has a little energy lo
ReplyDeleteI would like to be a scavenger if I was in an energy pyramid. I would be a scavenger because some are very small so the y are harder to spot. My "job" is "clean" [eat] all the dead animals.

The most important role was the sun. The reason I picked the sun is because it produces the beans in our case but in nature it would be the grass. Also I was a sun I really thought it was a hard role because you had to count ten beans and that is it you couldn’t go over ten or under ten. The reason I said the sun was the hardest roll is because people would start taking the beans without us handing them to them when people would do that I would get frustrated because in real nature I don’t think they would do that.

In my opinion i think the most important about the energy pyramid is that you need it for the animal to live and at the bottom is the sun that made the beans and at the top is where the animals need to eat the bean that are made by the sun and without thatthe animal will not be able to live and it might mess up the food chain or the food web and without thoughts most of the animals will die without it and it wont go on as long.

ReplyDelete(Question 2)
I think that the top of the food chain is the most important. I think that it is the most important because it keeps all of the other species in balance, so the area isn't overrun by that species. It relates to the transfer of energy because the energy that is moving through the chain gets less and less energy and the carnivores are usually the top of the food chain, so the carnivores stalk the prey because they do not have any energy but when they get the prey they have some more energy. They stalk the prey so they do not use up all of their energy to catch the prey.
The most important thing I have learned in the Energy Pyramid is that the decomposers would be the most important part in the pyramid because, without the decomposers the whole food chain would not work. It wouldn't work very while because, the decomposers are the ones who break down all the dead energy into the soil and produce new energy for whatever eats it.
